A journey towards a healthy and happy You

International Women’s Day

I am woman, hear me roar.

Personally, I’ve noticed that as women we’re almost conditioned to put ourselves down, notice our flaws, and not really give ourselves a chance. As it’s International Women’s Day, I thought, what better time to celebrate strength and courage. Here are six quotes to post-it around your house if you ever need a reminder of just how strong you are!

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.”

– Eleanor Roosevelt

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”

– Walt Disney

“Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.”

– Carol Burnett

“I’ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be jut a few steps down the road or you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom – how great is that?”

– Soledad O’Brien

“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”

– Christopher Reeve

“I feel most confident when learning something new or taking on a new challenge. I inherited a nice mix of creativity and stubborn curiosity from my parents, which makes taking on new things exciting. Whenever I feel stumped or down on my luck, I think back on the things I’ve achieved so far and think to myself: “Ok, you got this!” I think confidence is a huge part about what makes women great- and passing on confidence between women creates such a great circle of positivity!”
